"Pseudoscorpion"
The pseudoscorpion is actually only 1/8th of an inch long and has eight legs, so like its bigger cousin the scorpion it is an arachnid. It shares traits of both of the scorpions and spiders in that It does have stingers, but unlike a scorpion which has its stinger in it's tail, the Pseudoscorpion has them in its claws. Like spiders It uses a digestive fluid to liquefy its prey, where scorpion uses its powerful jaws to tear prey apart.

"Brown Moth on Venus Flytrap"
This photo is not staged! We had a small venus flytrap on our table and one day this moth just landed on it. I am happy to say for the moth (sad for the Venus Flytrap) that the moth, although it stayed on the flytrap for about 30 minutes, flew away unscathed and unaware of its very close call.

Egret in Flight
A series of images taken as an egret takes flight. I love how you can see the extention of the down and up beats of the wings. The camera used was a Nikon D300 with a 70-300mm Sigma. The images were manually joined together in photoshop
Hoverfly
A hoverfly sitting on a downed tree. This wonderfully colored insect is on of my favorites, big red eyes, golden face, black spiky hair. In contrast to its fearsome appearance, especially close up, it eats pollen and nectar.
This image was shot with a Nikon D300, Nikon 55mm f2.8 macro lens, 36mm and 12mm extension tubes, and a Yongnuo YN568EX flash.
